As per usual with Lynchburg, I'm surprised this place has such high ratings. I've lived in all different regions of the country (and other countries) and it seems that Lynchburg has a unique taste as to what good food is. First off, ordering over the phone was terrible. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and got called back 20 minutes later to repeat myself again. The delivery said 45-60 mins, but my food did not arrive until 80 minutes after I ordered. I tried the General Tsao and Hunan chicken, asked for both without mushrooms. They still came with mushrooms. I also ordered egg drop soup. In the end, it was the worse tasting food I've ever ordered from Chinese restaurant in all categories.

I did delivery. The food came super quick and was extremely tasty! They definitely give you portions sizes that make it worth your money.

Jade palace is one of the few remaining Chinese buffets in Lynchburg. That being said, it's one of my favorites. They were even willing to make more food for the buffet when I showed up late to lunch one day. That was despite me being what appeared was the last customer for the lunch service.
The staff is very friendly and fast. The food is good. It's not great, but with limited options, this is still some of the best Chinese you'll get in the city. Also great sushi options.
