Today was our first time at Montelongo's. The food was good and so was the overall price. I had a good waitress, except a second waitress came over and was a little rude. She should of stayed away from our table. But I enjoyed lunch out with the family, and will go again!

If you want truly authentic Mexican food in Lubbock, Montelongo's is the place to go! The place looks a bit like a dive (but aren't those always the best places?!), but it very clean on the inside.
Customers order and pay at the front counter, and unless they're VERY busy, you get a table number and seat yourself. They have music playing, but it's not so loud you can't carry on a conversation with your friends. I'll also say the hot sauce is the best in Lubbock, but it has a kick to it. Staff is always very friendly and you don't have to wait around for refills.
Montelongo's does carry out and catering, too!

Definitely a new restaurant that I will be eating at. The food was very good and the atmosphere was good. I love the customer service there. Will be there again soon.

GREAT food! Chips, salsa and guacamole were all very good. Barbacoa tacos were absolutely delicious. The night we went, there was a singer performing while we ate and it provided a very lively atmosphere. Will definitely be going again!

I don't give it no star I had to put 1 in order for me to do a review. We come from out of town n the other half are from out of state. The girls that take your orders don't even know how to take orders or explain the menu. The girl that sat us down n brought our drinks n our condiments smh she put everything on the end of the table we had to reach for our own. Then the coffee is ice cold we asked for coffee not ice coffee. Well let's see how the food comes out .
