The appetizers were delicious. They had shark as one of the specials for the night. Most of the filet was tender. The server was friendly and professional but forgot my initial wine order. I had to ask for it. The hostess was not expecting people in shorts walking in on a late Sunday evening, I guess she must be high society.
Overall a nice experience. Worth the visit. You will pay a little more than olive garden.

What's not to love about Volare? We always go to the bar where there are usually some discounts. They've expanded half price wines at the bar to include glasses, so we were able to sample a white, a really dry, gorgeously colored rose, and a Tuscan red that I will be investigating further. Ate the jalapeno pineapple mussels. I loved them; they were a little too hot for my husband, but he LOVES Volare mussels, so he soldiered on with them. Also got a creme brulee with a chocolate finish to die for. Server heated some water in the microwave and WARMED my grand marnier glass. Do not overlook the salads. They are just as imaginative as the entrees and desserts. I would eat here twice a week if I could afford it.

Best Italian in Louisville hands down. Top notch food and service. Chef/managing partner Joshua Moore is passionate about his food and it definitely shows. Business partner Jonathan Tarullo runs the front of house impeccably and the staff are warm and professional, especially Tasha, our favorite server. Fresh pasta made in house is wonderful. Farm fresh vegetables off his own farm. Fresh fish specials and incredible steaks as well. The wine list is extensive and they even have half price wine on Wednesday. There is something for everyone on the menu. I have found my favorite restaurant and we will keep going back.

Ate vodka ravioli. It melts in your mouth it's so good. I loved the food here and the service was great. Never had an Empty drink. The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Wonderful contemporary Italian cuisine with the finest fresh ingredients, well chosen wine list with a full range of price choices. Service is friendly, professional, and well organized. This restaurant is a class act! Be sure to make reservations, although there is bar seating with full food service.
