Don't make the mistake I did. Listen to the bad reviews because I experienced all the problems mentioned. I was assured by the leasing agent that the company was “under new management” and that the past reviews (google them and see the yelp reviews) were not a representation of the new people. I went to the office to pick up the keys. I was handed everything quickly and walked to the door mid sentence and told that “people are happy and everything will be fine”. After the door was shut in my face I went to the unit.

In the communication before renting I was told that the TV had Roku and Netflix but I could still get “up to 40 local stations with the digital antenna”. The Roku worked fine but there was no antena in the apt. They sent someone 2 days later to put in the antenna and said that it worked. I could only get pix elated blurry stations for a few seconds at a time. I told them and they sent a tech to the apt who said “everything was fine”. I asked the leasing agent and the owner to come to the apt so I could show them. They only kept telling me that the technician came and said everything was fine. I insisted it was not and asked them to come. They would not. At the end of the month I complained again asking for some consideration for not having TV for a month (Imagine being in LA and not being able to even watch the Oscars!). They said that they already paid $80 to send a technician to the apt and that everything was fine. I again asked them to stop by and they stopped answering my emails.

When I checked in to the apt the place was dusty like crazy. The fridge, the bathroom (plus mold and mildew all over the shower doors). The cocktail and side tables all covered in dust. I complained and they said they would send a cleaning crew. The place remained dirty throughout and they claimed they sent a housekeeper. I offered for them to come by and check out all the dirt dust and mold and they would not. I took several photos (if anybody needs confirmation of the situation). They kept insisting a housekeeper came. I told them not to pay the bill because they clearly did not do anything. I went to the store and got cleaning supplies and cleaned myself. Asked them to pay for the cleaning supplies (I asked for $12) and they gave me nothing.

When I got my deposit back ($1000, 3 weeks later) they send an invoice saying that they “waived” the $80 technician fee. They obviously thought that they were doing me a favor not charging me for someone to come and not fix something. Every time I e-mailed or called they were dry and unfriendly people, never offered any apology and kept mentioning how the leasing agent “came over to put the antenna”. Its amazing how they think that coming and giving what is advertised is a favor. They acted like ungrateful spoiled children who were inconvenienced by your staying in their apartments. It was the only negative part of an otherwise wonderful trip to Los Angeles, but I felt I have to alert potential future guests to find another option to stay. If you do stay with them insist on paying partial credit card so that you are protected if they don't offer services. If you pay all upfront don't expect to get anything back from services that they do not provide. Beware of extra fees too because they put in the contact that you can pay for extra electric use and cleaning fees. Just be very careful.

After leaving this review a representative from the company sent an e-mail mentioning potential legal action against me for posting reviews. For any parties interested I am happy to provide proof of any statements mentioned in my review and photos of the condition of the cleanliness of the apartment.

As for their response yes they did give me a full refund of my security deposit but did not reimburse any expenses I had for cleaning the apartment or for the broadcast television not working. They said they sent someone to show me how to use the TV, this is false. I never saw an employee or tech except when picking up the keys.

Would not rent from them again. Arrogant, poor service. I though it was standard, but then I rented from someone else and I saw how different things can be between two furnished apt operating in the same building.

My wife and I just stayed at LA Furnished Apartments for nearly three months (from May till mid-July) and our stay was as good as it could be. The fully furnished apartment was clean and comfortable, everything was in good working order, and it was centrally located in West Hollywood, so we had walking access to most of what we needed. We've stayed 5 times before at these apartments and we've never had a problem. It's a family run business, which I also like, and dealing with Debbie Fine and her family has always been a pleasure. We'll be back in LA this fall for another extended 2 to 3 month stay, and we'll be staying again with LA Furnished Apartments. It's a perfect situation for us.

I wish you guys much luck. Like you said it is difficult for a small business to compete with the larger corporations when people do not know that your services are an option. You guys far surpassed my expectations and I have recommended continuing with your services to HR. Thanks again and if I need to stay in LA for any reason, you are the only company I would call.
