This is a place where you are going to be well taken care of and treated with respect. I had both knees replaced in 2016 and I never once was neglected.

I have received phenomenal emergency care here in the past, but last night was just completely the opposite. I took my 18 y/o asthmatic son in as he was having difficulty breathing and had some pain over the right lung. The ER was packed, something I'd never seen before. A tech came out and tested his O2 sat, and said it was 100% (which was a relief) and that someone would come get him shortly. An hour later, they took him back. His pain level had been increasing and his wheezing was getting worse. We were stuck off in a corner room (the ones with just a curtain) and pretty much ignored after the initial triage. Wasn't sure if it was asthma or pneumonia, that's why we were there!! They came in, checked him over and said they'd do an xray. Did that, and there we sat for 2 hours doing nothing but hearing folks in other "rooms" call for pain meds, or babies crying because they don't feel good. At one point I wondered if anyone was out there at all taking care of things! I finally got up to see if I could find a nurse and she said "Oh yes I believe the xrays are back"...Right after that, she came in, handed us a script for Medrol pack, and his discharge papers. Um, ok? What was it? "Oh the xray came back clear, it was asthma".. Gee, you think I might've been WORRIED ABOUT MY SON this whole time??? I understand they were busy, and that apparently some more serious trauma cases came in. I used to work EMS, I get that. But just don't leave someone hanging like that! Pop your head in just to do a visual check on the patient, something! Don't know that I'll choose this hospital again for any emergency medical needs.

I was in and out quicker than it took me to get seen at GS and everyone was helpful and nice. And thanks Jennifer for helping me!

NO Valet parking!! NOT enough Handicap parking!!! On 6-28-2017 I was with one of my daughters when she had surgery with an overnight stay. Once again handycap parking was inadiquit. Because of more construction some of the signage was wrong inside. Thankfully some of the employees were very helpful!! The distance I had to walk was a problem for me & was obvious! They would stop their work, get a wheelchair and take me where I needed to go. They were a lifesaver for me and I really appreciate their help & assistance!!

I recently had my first baby at this hospital. My rooms and everything were very nice and clean. My doctor, the anesthesiologist, the lactation consultant, and the nurse who helped deliver my baby were all absolutely amazing. Thankfully the nursery kept very good care of my baby but the nursing staff throughout my stay was HORRIBLE. One of them chewed my husband and I out for our baby having a dirty diaper when he got back to the nursery, which we knew nothing about until she said something. They acted like they either didn't want to be there or like they looked down upon me because of my age. I do appear to still be in my teens but am in my twenties. Each shift change I couldn't wait to get a new nurse. My very first nurse didn't try to ease my mind about labor at all and then the shifts changed and she left me scared out of my mind. I would definitely recommend the hospital but if your nurse treats you badly, complain or ask for a new one.
