Traveling through Nebraska on vacation my 8 year old had a wire that was bothering him & causing a sore. We called this office to see if they could help us & they wouldn't even take a look at him, said they were too busy to even look in his mouth. We got ahold of Dr Ficke & he got him right in & treated him like one of his own. If you are looking for an orthodontist go to Dr Ficke!

Called and tried to setup an appointment for a former patient who happens to be a foster child. Said they would not get her in because she missed some of her previous appointments while she was in another foster home. Explained that her retainer broke and that they were the ones to put it in and that the foster child was at a new placement and they wouldn't budge. Not helpful at all, although nice on the phone. I even offered to pay out of pocket, but they weren't interested in helping a former patient and foster child that has been through a lot. It's not like the child was responsible for not making the appointments. Thanks anyways...

Small story; I was first introduced to Dr. Hohl when my youngest got orthodontic care several years ago. At the time, I thought I would just see if I could get my teeth straightened and have a nice smile. Since I was in my 40's, it was pretty much a vanity thing more so than anything. Never did I think my life was going to change drastically.
As I went through my consultation, I was asked a series of questions, one of them being, "Do I suffer from headaches?" That answer was a resounding yes. My headaches were of such intensity and frequency that I would need to lie down in a dark room for hours waiting for the pain to subside. I have suffered from chronic migraines since my teenage years and I had not met a physician that could get them down to a tolerable level in the past 20 years.
During my consultation, Dr. Hohl stated that I had a severe jaw alignment issue and would I be interested in seeing a cranial facial specialist to work side by side as I go through my orthodontic treatment. She said that she had worked with a doctor who specialized in chronic headaches and wanted me to consider going to another consultation with him. She thought that together, they could help me with the headaches if I went through an additional procedure. She wanted me to do this since my jaw looked as if it had been broken in the past or that something didn't quite look right. Since I had tried everything to get rid of these headaches, I decided to try one more "quack" which is what I had classified numerous other doctors. Oh how I was wrong about both of these two!
I was introduced to Dr. Haifes in Lincoln, Nebraska and he confirmed exactly what Dr. Hohl had diagnosed. So, for the next almost three years, I went through a whole transformation of moving and positioning the cranial structure around until my headaches were at best, minimal. At the same time, Dr. Hohl would work in unison with Dr. Haifes to align my neck, jaw, teeth and cranial bones to get rid of the headaches. Because of Dr. Hohl and Dr. Haifes, I have minimal headaches now (none of which are severe enough to stop my everyday function) and I have very straight teeth. Even today I look back at this entire transformation and I can't believe I did not do this sooner. Thanks to both Dr. Hohl and Dr. Haifes I am much better off than what I was before this started.
The staff at Dr. Hohls office has become my family and they treat me like I am one of theirs. Everyone who goes in there comes out of there with not only a great smile but also a friend who really cares about the health of the person being treated.
I personally want to show my appreciation to Dr. Hohl, a health care professional that really takes her profession to the next level by helping people find a solution to an existing problem. One of which I carried for many decades. It could be teeth or anything around the cranial region, but this professional is one of the best in the business. I also want to say that they are one of the best orthodontics in Lincoln and would recommend them to anyone. Please consider them, you will not be sorry.
