Clarification: 1 star is "hated it" according to Google - accurate for my experience. I have been fighting with them for 4 months now. I echo every other complaint I've read on here!
Update over 1 year later - they call me for the majority of conferences my organization attends, and I have asked them numerous times to remove me from all of their calling lists. I was just told that they were not able to do that, however I know that by law, if you request to not be called, they have to comply, or I can legally pursue them.
They pretend to be affiliated with the conferences, unless you ask them point blank what the name of their company is and if they are the contracted housing provider. Contracted housing providers do not reach out to you via phone. They give you information in your registration material. So don't be fooled. I was in my early stages in my role of travel planner, and ended up with a team of executives at a hotel at 11:30 pm being told they did not have reservations. I had confirmed with the hotel 2 days prior. CHS had cancelled the reservations for an unknown reason and without notification. Then we fought for months to get reimbursement, and had to go through the credit card to battle it. DO NOT USE CHS or any company with a similar name.

Really wish I'd read these reviews before I booked my rooms with them. They made it seem like they're affiliated with the show I'm attending, so I booked with them. I definitely should have been more careful, but sine this was my first time at this show, I wasn't expecting to be called by a shady company who makes money scamming people. Once I made my reservations, they won't answer phone calls and only talk with you via email. My room for two nights should have been $513, but now I'm having to pay $674. Total scam and I'd encourage anyone who gets a call from them to STAY AWAY.

THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM, DO NOT TRUST THEM, DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!
Only ever book hotels through your events recommended supplier.

Too bad you cannot rate with zero stars, "Hated it" is not a strong enough for my feelings towards this operation. I hope that any potential customers find these reviews before they book with this company, unlike myself. We booked 9 rooms for 4 nights each in over 6 months advance, now they are are not returning calls or delivering on the services we paid for. We have used this company a couple years prior with no real issues, but this time it has been Hell, they have changed and are not the same. I have called hourly for over two weeks straight to obtain our confirmation numbers for the rooms, in addition have sent a couple emails daily, as well. I am getting no response,... no call backs...emails..Nada! Don't waste your time or money on CHS "SCAM". I have submitted a compliant with the BBB after trying to contact Paul Sheldon as requested. PLEASE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME, HANG UP IF THEY CALL YOU WITH OFFERINGS. They will ignore you and not deliver. Call Service answers when you call and only can take messages, they cannot assist you if you already been financially violated by this company. If its too late and you are in the same boat as we are, I can only suggest that you submit a complaint with the BBB and if its been less than 6 months file a retraction/dispute for the credit card charges. Wish I could give them 0 stars. They are literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. They quote low prices and then add on fee after fee. Prices are not lower, and the service is the worst. They are completely unresponsive. You can't ever get anyone on the phone. When you do, they say they will call back. No one ever calls back. Once I finally got in touch with someone after being put on hold for HOURS, they told me that they could no longer honor our reservation for the 31 rooms we had already paid in full for. This happened just about 2 weeks prior to our trade show. There was no explanation given. No apology. No empathy for getting stuck without hotels after paying over $25k up front. TERRIBLE! They should not be allowed to be in business.
