Have had my dog on the Banfield wellness plan at the Lafayette location for 8 years. In the last year and a half, since Dr. Montgomery left, the decline in patient care and customer service has been drastic. No one will answer the phone during business hours. No one checks the voicemail that is supposed monitored hourly (I have never once had a call returned after leaving a voicemail, you have to strike it lucky and catch a live human on the phone). Critical medication that was on order for my pet was 3 weeks late arriving, no one bothered to call and let me know. I ended up ordering the meds online. In the last 3 months, I've had to take my dog in twice for bloodwork to monitor rapidly rising ALT and ALKP levels, both times i was told I'd get a call back to discuss the results in 24-48 hours. Both times it was over a week before I heard from the doctor, and only because I had to call constantly and guilt Dr. Sarradet into calling me back. The excuse is always the same "emergency situations" and "crazy day," but what it comes down to is just simply do what you say you'll do. If I should expect results in a week, say so. Meanwhile I'm worrying about my dog's health and stuck in limbo waiting. It seems apparent to me that this location is understaffed, or else simply mismanaged. When my dog has received care, it's been good, but unfortunately you have to relentlessly advocate for your pet to receive it in the first place, and then you have to fight for follow-up.

The front staff was wonderful, as well as the veterinarian. I cannot recall the name of the veterinarian that helped me, regardless, I want to comment on how thorough, informative, and caring she was with my dog Don. I am very thankful for the service they provided, and each persons genuine care for the animals.
