This place is a throw back to a different era. It may be a little out of the way for some but it's worth the trip. They have daily lunch specials and I highly recommend the fried eggplant it's so buttery and tender.
The staff are always fast and friendly. There may be a wait but I would say it's worth it if you have the time.
Did I mention they have the best ribeye in town?

Always a great tasting place to eat. A Jackson tradition. 80 years plus. Good lunch specials. Wonderful seafood for supper.

, arrived about 8:30. Ordered calamari and crab bisque to go. They were out of the calamari and recommended the fried crab legs . The fact that it was late may have contributed to the poor quality of both items. Without being too mean I would not recommend this place for fine dining. It does say Cafe. And in that regard it's quaint and homey

Great fish. It's really good fish for an inland restaurant and it's a very unique atmosphere. It's one of the only restaurants in Jackson that you really have to go see.
You really should go to the bathroom. The Fish is great, but the bathroom is something you'll remember your whole life. (not sure if a good way) It's amazing it's up to health codes. (is it??) It's truly disgusting and like something out of a scary movie. Go just to see the most disgusting unique bathroom you've ever seen, and enjoy the best fish you'll have north of the ocean
