I have taken several pets to FACE throughout the years. You may have quite a wait in line, but they do a great job and it's so inexpensive! Worth the wait. Plus they do this city a great service.

Low cost animal care. I had my kitty neutered here when I first brought him home. I took him back and got him chipped this week. I waited for an hour or more but for $22 I can't complain. It was quick and seemed to be painless. He didn't react at all. I'll take all of my kitty's here. Definitely worth the 15 min drive for me.

not the best place to try to adopt from. i inquired about several dogs from several shelters through Petfinder; FACE only replied to say i needed to put in an application 1st. never heard another word about that particular pet. tried again with another pet on their site (after putting in an application this time) and did receive an email about the dog this time. i asked to come meet the dog after work. after no email after two hours, i double-checked and saw they closed at 4pm (not off work until 4:30pm). so i emailed again, apologizing for not noticing the hours. not a word back. very disappointed because i had several friends who take feral cats to FACE give such a glowing recommendation of the place.

Wonderful experience. Expect to wait, but they are more than accommodating. The atmosphere is so wonderful that visiting pets as well as those looking for a home get along quite well. It's nowhere near as chaotic as most shelters or veterinarian offices. I believe this is a combination of the two.

I appreciate what they do, but if you have a cat you and your cat will suffer tremendously waiting to be seen. After almost 2 hours of waiting, I gave up and left because my nerves were shot. Approximately 10 huge dogs were also in the waiting room & if they weren't pooping or seeing on the floor, they were simultaneously barking. The stench of dog poop was overwhelming. I saw 4 piles when I first arrived. There was only 1 vet helping, which is why it was taking so long.
There needs to be another alternative for people who have cats. All I can recommend is get there AN HOUR BEFORE THEY OPEN and wait in line. Don't show up at noon during the week like I did.
It will be a long time until I get the stench of dog poop off my clothes and out of my memory from that place.
