This place is a hidden gem among the hustle and bustle of Honolulu. It's a cute cafe on the grounds of the Honolulu Museum of Art at Spaulding House.
There's a parking lot for the museum and you don't have to go to the museum to eat here. Make sure you check in at the front desk and they will give you a sticker. Then you can head down to the cafe which is a short walk away from the museum entrance. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The food and service here were good. They have various salads and sandwiches to choose from. Their soup du jour is usually a great choice and they even have gelato/sorbet that you can choose to end your meal with.
Why I really like this place is that you can get a picnic lunch for two for $35 on the front lawn. Each of you can choose a salad, main course and drink plus you get a dessert to share. They will pack it up into a picnic basket and then you can grab a mat. Head to the lawn which overlooks Honolulu for a nice relaxing (and romantic) picnic lunch. We went on a nice sunny but breezy day.
Where else can you buy a picnic lunch and have a view like this?
