The Thirsty Hippo is one of Hattiesburg's best bars for getting some great food and catching local entertainment at the same time. This versatile bar can be a great date-night location or a bouncing music venue within a matter of hours. The service is fantastic, with an incredibly friendly and helpful staff.

Overall the place is great to have a few drinks and kick back after a long week. The brands they have for beer range from local to national and are often different from week to week. I would definitely recommend seeing a band here as well.

Tuesday night open mic and half price pitchers! Good beer and relaxed friendly atmosphere. Very nice bathrooms and modern bar setup.

Always had a great experience here, whether it was food or for drinks. The front patio has plenty of tables to sit outside when the weather is nice. The back section is great for seeing live shows. The food menu has a nice variety from salads, veggie burgers and hummus to traditional burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches. I always love stopping here when in town.
