The location is great, close to downtown. The rooms are cool but could definitely use some maintenance. Everything felt old and dirty. Our room (#17) had a private bathroom and looked out into the back deck area, which seemed nice at first but was frequented by smokers that kept us up at night. There are only 4 parking spots in the back but more metered parking across the street.

I went to pick a disabled lady from the Melrose and I could hear the lady yelling and screaming at her and wheb I was helping the disabled lady down stairs she continued to be little her in front of me. I don't appreciate it and I will never recommend this place ever

Authentic - tall ceilings, creaking floors, old fashioned furniture and you step back 100 years. Very nice, clean, comfortable with friendly helpful staff. Common areas are adequate and functional. I really like it here!

A very cool old building, with the feel of a creepy mansion from another era. Allegedly the oldest of the historic hotels still open in Junction, although I did not verify that claim. It has a rustic feel that I like, but that comes with a sort of run-down aspect as well. I liked that there is a common kitchen area available for use, and the back deck is a nice spot to chill. However, the bed was seriously old and uncomfortable (sagging really badly in the middle), and I felt that the room was substantially overpriced.
