I had the exact same problem, 3 disks degenerated , and spinal stenosis. I was subject to injection, after injection , and the radio frequency block , none of theese helped at all , and he still hasn't referred me to the surgeon he says I need , because he want to keep raping my insurance , after I finally told him I wasnt taking any more spine injections , he angrily accused me of being a pill head , not to mention the staff is unprofessional , and can't keep appointments straight ,I would show up w an appointment card and they say , you don't have an appointment today it's next week . also they would cancel my appointment do to Dr. Schedule conflict , and not bother to tell me after driven 30 miles to get there. I understand that people really need pain management ,but not Dr Carlson . also my insurance was reflected for being billed monthly for physical therapy , I can't hardly walk , let along do any physcal therapy !!! Quack !!!

With my spinal stenosis and fractured vertebra Dr. Carlson performed a "rib block" and has done 3
'ablations" on my low back and I can now function normally!. Before the procedures I could hardly walk when I stood up. The pain was so excruciating I could'nt mow the lawn, do any lifting and could'nt walk more than 100 feet without having to sit or lay down. I am 67 and have tried most everything to no avail. Those procedures gave me my mobility back. I'll keep them as long as their there and I'm still alive!
Thank you Dr. Carlson and Alyson for your life changing treatments.

After my initial consultation with Dr Carlson for pain management he also took me on as my family doctor where he ran tests and he proscribed testosterone replacement, the problem was he was not or did not do the follow up that is needed for any insurance company in the form of a Prior Authorization, so after being with him for four months I am still without a hormone my body desperately needs.

Secondly, the hydrocodone's he proscribed me helped my small pain but did nothing for the huge pain in my back. He wanted to do a temporary medial block, and talked me into it. For the next two weeks after this procedure I was in tremendous pain in the area treated. When I reported this back to Dr. Carlson, he said that never happens and accused me of being a pill-seeker, even though later I looked online and yes, that procedure can cause the type of pain I experienced. Also, after this last encounter with Dr. Carlson, I just happened to have an appointed scheduled with my Psychiatrist, since the accusation that I was a pill seeker had been made I discussed my use of Hydrocodone's and she was of the opinion that I was not addicted nor a pill seeker. One week later, I get a certified letter from Dr. Carlson "firing me" and also advising me to contact my Psychiatrist and discuss "my problem". What a joke, there is a reason that all legitimate doctors think pain management are the scum of the medical profession, and Dr. Carlson is a good example of such. Avoid this doctor at all cost, to say he was rude and cruel to me is an understatement.

Worst Medical care ever! Customer service is horrible... Patient care the worst! Please research and find a good physician this is not it! This is an office for pill junkies not someone seeking actual medical treatment! And the front staff is rude and unprofessional. When we decided to seek a new physician they will not release medical records and have every excuse as to why they can't find them.... What how can you care for a patient if you can't keep up with medical records!
