Had a delicious lunch today with my wife. She had the chicken fried chicken, greens and mac and cheese. I had fried pork chops (so good I bit my lip), greens and mashed potatoes, with a side of fried chicken breast. The pork chops and fries chicken took me back to being a kid eating my grandmother's cooking. The food reminded me of home, and I guess that's the point. Will definitely be back.

Down home cooking. It's located on Horne Street south of Camp Bowie. Nothing fancy just good eating. I don't care where you live you have to go at least once.

The wait for fried chicken was so worth it. They fry it to order and it was served hot, even the breast was incredibly moist and flavorful all the way through. We had beans, mac n cheese, candied yams and okra. All were outstanding. My 10 month old went crazy for the yams!
Service was warm and polite. Never an empty glass and all requests were met quickly, even when it got busy.
We will definitely be going back regularly!
