The menu seems to have changed to Latin and other countries. I expected more American home town meals. Comfort food for WASP. The omlette was warm but not hot. And the biscuit didn't melt the butter. The coffee was warm but not hot. My husband's meal was not as good as last time we were in. The portions have decreased while cost is increased.

Mel's is our go to when neither of us feel like cooking. Food is consistently good, it's always clean, staff is friendly, prompt, and have always given us great service. We often order from their take out menu. We also have taken friends from out of town there, no complaints. One word of warning, go there HUNGRY as the servings are generous! I usually get a take home box, and usually half of the food goes with me. Great place!

Always a satisfying meal. Our favorite is their Sanibel salad with blackened salmon. The servers are always attentive. The ambience is relaxed and family-oriented.

i love this place. The staff is amazing and super friendly. It's definitely a family here you can tell! Grace is the best server ever, I always eat with her. She knows my order before I even sit down! So much love for this place.

Needed a quick meal. I had the Chile and a salad. They brought it quickly and it was perfect. Not too spicy. I got out quickly as well. I always enjoy my visits to Mels whether it in a large group or just me. The food is great and the service is perfect.
