This is a unique place because it is hard to find Ethiopian restaurants anywhere, and the food is unique and delicious. I had the vegetable combination and it was very good. The service was great and helpful with making a choice.

DELICIOUS! Very friendly staff who will explain options if needed. I ordered the lamb combo and my sister ordered the vegetarian combo, both were amazing! Portions are good and will fill you up. Average pricing.

The food here is amazing!!! So delicious and healthy and organic and local (so easy to be vegan or vegetarian here if you want). The owner is really kind and really goes the extra mile to make the food wonderful. One time my partner and I called in a to-go order just before they were about to close and they had run out of injera by the owner made us a new batch from scratch even though it was so late! The prices are also very good for what you get. The food is so filling that I always have at least 2 meals worth from one $10 lunch order. Definitely eat here!!!

Nyala is a delicious find! The food is made fresh and is full of traditional flavors and smells that make your mouth water. The service is always pleasant and helpful, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The restaurant is always clean. Finger wipes are offered for those eating with injera bread, but silverware and rice are available for the less adventurous diner. This place has always been a treat for me!

Injera bread is definitely not my thing. It's strong sour doughy flavor does not appeal to me and the first time I went, it ruined the meal for me because the meat was traditionally served on top of it. BUT this is not why the minus one star because it's just personal preference of that one thing. I'm extremely glad my husband loved it and convinced me to give it another go because ordering the meal with rice instead let me appreciate all the amazing flavors!! My only complaint is the service. Apparently this place hires help depending on how many people make reservations! What?! Poor waitress was overloaded. At least 2 groups left after getting tired of waiting and we waited almost an hour for our food because the owner was probably the only cook. Not cool
