I adopted 2 cats here and am so happy I chose this shelter. No-kill and one of the few shelters that takes back a cat if things don't work out (I ain't doing it).

They gave me with a complete profile for both cats (diet/personality/litter habits) and vet history, estimated monthly food cost, and were super patient as I walked through the rooms and gave me the low down on cats I asked about - they also have a chart describing each cat.

Once I made a decision it took 45 min for them to complete the forms, then they gave me cardboard carriers to take them home in (yes, with pee pads), ear medicine since on of them had an ear infection, and called me 3 days later to see how everything was going. They care about these cats!

Pricing is reasonable (think it was $150 for 2) and they also offer vet services which I plan on using. I love this shelter and the people who run it and I couldn't be happier with my babies.

When my cat stopped eating recently, I brought her in to the CCS, and the vet found that she had some infected and painful teeth. Both the vet (Dr. Barbara Goodrich) and the tech (the woman with the bandana - I didn't catch her name) were incredibly gentle and careful with my cat. My cat was very stressed out and uncooperative, but the staff never lost patience with her. They gave her treats and made the experience as easy as possible for her. They made the experience easy for me, too. I left feeling like I had just met two of the kindest people I've ever met in my life.

I qualified for a discount on my cat's dental surgery, because I have a lower income, and the cost was extremely reasonable. The CCS is not for profit, so their costs are lower than any other similarly qualified clinic. It seems like they keep a minimum of staff, so please be patient with them if they don't answer the phone right away or call you back right away. They are very busy, and they are doing everything they can. Overall, I am very impressed, and I will keep bringing my cat here whenever she needs a vet.

I lost my baby girl in December 2016, and brought her food and litter here to donate. The areas are clean, and the cats are free to wander. It was therapeutic to come back and spend time with the kitties, and I eventually adopted 2 cats, Stella and Louie, in January. The cats were stressed, but they were still new and hadn't had time to truly acclimate. There was a bout of respiratory infections going around, but before I took the new cats home they gave them some shots to combat it. Louie threw it off fine on his own, and they let me bring Stella in to their associated vet clinic for fluids and a round of antibiotics free of charge. The only negative was that when I had to bring Stella into the Cat Clinic, the vet tech was pretty rough with the IV insertion, then let it fall out (I pointed it out, she didn't even notice) and just jabbed it back in. Stella hasn't screamed like that before or since, even when she got her follow-up vaccines. I would recommend the Society for anyone, but maybe look somewhere else for veterinary care. But the folks at the Society really are good with the cats, and give them a comfortable area to socialize with people and each other. Definitely recommend.

This cat sanctuary is a cage free environment. The cats are free to roam the rooms of this facility and thus remain sociable You get to see them in their natural mood and flow.

The faculty seem to do a good job organizing the cats based on personality, health status/special needs, and sociability.

When I arrived I was given some basic guidelines for interacting with the kitties. When I explained my situation, which is that I travel and I'm just here to look but I'm familiar with cats, they were very welcoming and glad that I came to spend time with them. Once they realized that I am a cat person they didn't feel the need to give me any more instructions and simply let me know that they were there if I needed them.

The facility is clean, surprisingly free of smell (although a little bit is expected) and appears to be very organized.

My general feeling of this place is exceptionally High and I would recommend that anybody who is interested in finding Cat come and speak with the staff at the Cat Care Society.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this org and commitment to cats in our community.
I have never adopted, but sure I will one day. I routinely visit and love that each cat is considered as an individual.
An extra bonus - what a lovely place to visit. I swing by fairly regularly to pet cats, grab some supplies from their shop, check the wish list board and most of all - sit and "zen-out" in the cat rooms. Many have balconies and white noise, like water fountains, etc. So pleasant to hang-out with the kitties.
Their foster program is also quite extensive and they are an amazing kitten training resource for everyone in the community - not just those fostering for them.
LOVE LOVE LOVE what CCS does.
