This restaurant is trying hard to be quaint and trendy, but the lackluster menu and poor quality breakfast does not stand up to other restaurants.
The decor and atmosphere was almost cute, but ultimately look poorly contrived. Poorly made craft decor often sat atop low-quality antique furniture. Plastic flowers in previously-drunk cans of sand-filled orange soda were on top of all tables, with our table being especially wobbly. More dilapidated antique furniture included the bathroom door with a hole in it that was covered with tape, and a barely functional bathroom sink. I also saw craft spiders made out of pipe-cleaners adorning the walls, making me wonder if any of the servers double as a kindergarten teacher.
As far as the food goes, the lunch menu looked pretty barren and uninteresting, so I stuck with breakfast. For brunch, I'd have to say this was maybe the worst I've had in denver, but given that denver has plenty of great brunch spots, that's not as bad as it sounds. The ingredients were fresh, the portion sizes small. My poached eggs weren't disgusting, but I was pretty let down that the yolk had hardened enough to prevent itself from running. The ham was just okay.
The service was fine. In fact, it was probably the best part of this restaurant. The staff was courteous, friendly and alert. Someone from the back brought our food out, and had great soft-skills for a back-of-the-house employee.
I would be willing to give it another shot the next time I'm in the area, but I definitely do not see myself going out of the way for this place. I'm giving 3 stars because this review was based on a single visit, and the food may have just been off. I'm not a fan of the poorly-implemented decor, but I'm sure some people would like a more old-time homey feel, run-down and all.

Best chicken and waffles, everything else is great too. They also have a great coffee shop a Coue doors down if you are waiting for a table.

Pretty good breakfast. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. However, the whole process was pretty slow.

We loved the breakfast! Every dish was absolutely amazing. We really liked quiche and French toast. Very good service and great coffee.

I have celiac disease, and they were very good at accommodating me here. The chef even came out to speak with me about cooking my food in a separate pan. On top of that great service and great food! Can't ask for too much more.
