Awesome atmosphere! And amazing street tacos! Go for happy hour the $ is too good to pass up. Oh... and surprising, the coffee is absolutely delicious. Better coffee than I have had at actual coffee shops!

So, I'm not huge on reviews but I have to let everyone know what an AMAZING place The Matador is. My fiance and I rarely, RARELY go out because of how expensive it is, but for my 30th birthday, he got me a gift certificate to The Matador, as enchiladas are my favorite dish and they are supposed to have the best of the best. I was skeptical because I really hate having to dine around a bunch of other people and deal with loud music and underwhelming drinks, but once we got there my mind was made up: this place was going to be OUTSTANDING. Sure enough, we were given a 30 minute wait time but only ended up waiting about 15. Upon sitting down, we met June, our server, who was the cutest thing ever! She took our order and got us started with drinks immediately. We ordered an appetizer and hung out to enjoy that. I know they were slammed and I was exhausted so we decided to take our main entree home after having a nacho entree. Oh June, you sweet girl! She apologized so many times for us not eating at the restaurant but seriously, I was just so tired I needed to go home. I asked for her manager so we could make sure she got our tip and Matt (I'm pretty sure??) was so cute!!! He made sure she got her tip and my note and told us to come back again. This place was simply outstanding. We went as a gift for my birthday and I will definitely find the cash to go have at least a drink or two again. Incredible service. Outstanding people. Delicious food! PLEASE check this place out. They are one of the best in the highlands for sure. Thank you SO much June and Matt. You guys made this birthday more than I could have asked for. I hope we cross paths again!

First time trying Matador. This comes after a long day at the Denver Highlands Street Fair. My wife and I came in exhausted with no expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised by everything being absolutely wonderful. From our greeting once we were sat, to the spot on recommendations and service by Sam, everything was just great. I have owned restaurants in Denver and South Beach for the last 20 years and I am happy to report that this is an operations that we can all look up to. They have the food, the people, and the atmosphere down pat. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly satisfied after meeting friends at the Matador for an early dinner. Our waitress was as attentive and accommodating as could have been possible. The food portions were generous and tasty, as were the margaritas. The atmosphere is invitingly enhanced with fire at select tables and wrought iron accents throughout. One order was too hot and they immediately created an entirely new, and spice muted, dish for her on the spot. Overall, we could not have been provided a better environment for lively evening conversation.
