I had never been to this nail salon before but I decided to try it out based on the reviews. I was new to getting my nails done and I had a positive experience with a nail salon in Austin who used SNS/NexGen on my nails. I called Gloss and asked if they used SNS. I was told "Yes!" So I made an appointment, went in, and a lady did my nails.

I have no complaints about the service. She was very nice and my nails looked great. However, at the end she put my nails under UV light. Uhhhh what? Immediately I knew this wasn't right because the other nail salon didn't do that. I paid and went on my merry way. Once I got home, I did some research and found that you're definitely not supposed to use the UV light with SNS or NexGen. I thought, "Well maybe its because she was in a hurry." I decided to give them a second chance.

I booked during a non-busy time and sat down with a guy. He was very nice and social. He did my nails and they looked ok. I could tell he was a little newer. Once again, he used the UV light on my nails. I knew then that they weren't using the system I had asked for. I paid and decided to see how these would hold up.

No joke, less than a week and a half later, my nails broke! This was applied on my real nail and they began to chip and crack. It actually hurt my nail. I went to the nail salon that I used to go to as a kid and the manager was horrified when she saw my nails. She then asked, "Did they use the UV light on your nails?" I told her that they did. She then informed me that they were using cheap product on my nails. As she was taking them off, she just kept shaking her head. Never again!

They get 2 stars because I did receive good service in that my nails generally looked good. I docked 3 because they were using cheap product and then charging me like they were using the expensive kind. From now on, I'm going to make the trip to my old nail salon. No sense in spending my money here.

Teddy & Kim are fantastic & do great work. My pedis from Gloss always last for weeks & weeks. I'm very surprised at the negative reviews & am guessing they might be for the old nail salon at that location. That place looked run down & unsanitary - I never even ventured in. Gloss is a nice, clean facility, great prices, and again, fantastic work. Highly recommend!

I was looking for something on a Sunday as my wedding shower was the same day. I lucked out and found them open before noon. I was so thankful for that. I received the best pedicure I have every had. The massage Teddy gave me was to die for! ( to me thats the best part of the pedi). Its very nice, relaxing, they are sanitary, and CLEAN! I work at a spa so the cleanliness and being sanitary is huge for me. I was so impressed. I will be there monthly! It has been about a month and still have no chips in nail polish... and thats saying a lot! Dont let the he said she said get in the way of an amazing pedicure

$15 dollars for solar nails... too good to be true. Hannah starts with pink powder which creates awful looking nails. Her trainee was better, but still not too good. Nails came out looking very bad and it took 3 hours. Overall not TERRIBLE, but definitely bad...

This salon was terrible. I expected great service as their website seemed very promising. Instead I got employees in sloppy clothes, and a nail technician who was telling me I need to do my eyebrows when hers were drawn on! THen when doing my full set she made several of my fingers bleed!!! She kept dremmeling my finger and not the nail and didnt even notice! I wont go back
