my husband and I really loved the food, the service, and the hospitality at Sammy's BBQ. My husband remembers this place to be a neighborhood grocery store when he was a kid.. I love the originality of the wood. we will definitely be back!

Great customer service! Excellent sides! Truly a bang for your buck! The prices were good and the portions were large. The onion rings were to die for and potato casserole was the best I ever had. By far, this was the best meal I have ever had in Texas.

Really nice folks in here. Food is good but parking can be rough because of the busy lunch crowd. You go through a line and order. They have a good variety of meats and sides, so there's definitely something for everyone. You can even ask for your brisket lean or fatty. Worth checking out.

Great hospitality from the staff. That's always appreciated and remembered. Atmosphere also feels like authentic BBQ cafeteria style.
The sliced brisket was too dry for me. Could've been an off day? The chopped brisket is much better.
The ribs were tender but also dry.
Sausage was good but nothing extraordinary.
BBQ sauce is amazing! Saved the day for me.
The zucchini casserole was a bit too heavy because of the amount of bread used in there. Maybe that's normal?
Beans and slaw were good.
Drink selection is also good, local sodas and sweet/unsweetened ice tea.
Good pickle and relish selection.
I was a bit disappointed with the meat, and this being a BBQ joint, that's a big deal. But it recovers nicely considering everything else. I'll try other meats next time if I get a chance.
