I loved the drink menu. The food was good.

If you can make it here, I think it's consistently one of the top 3 restaurants in Cleveland! They prepare their own meats and everything is farm to table. Highlights include "pig in a chicken", homeade ice creams and sorbets, and whatever the meat special is that evening. Staff is incredibly nice and professional, and the music is curated perfectly. I go here at least sevral times a quarter when i am in town staying at the attached Aloft Hotel.

The Mrs. and I have been here a couple times
. Each time a very enjoyable experience. From the staff to the food...this place is well worth visiting.

Tonight my girlfriend and I ordered two different three-course meals.
As we walked in, the smell, the lighting, and the music all made for a great ambiance.
It all started a bit dissapointing as they brought out the bread. The butter was rock hard as if it came out of the freezer. Fortunately there was a lit candle on the table to melt the butter so it could be spread.
The appetizers were decent. The calamari had great taste, and so did the hot chicken wings, but the consistency seemed as if the chicken wings had been frozen and reheated.
As for the entrees, the pad thai with chicken was delicious, but the salmon tacos were nothing short of gross. We both tried a bite, and there was an overwhelming "fishy taste" that salmon should not have, and it completely ruined the taco.
Overall the meal was okay, but price point was pretty high for a rather disappointing entree.

The Willeyville is an exceptional Cleveland secret. The food, while not your average fare, is always fantastic and keeps you coming back for more. Don't expect anything standard here... Instead,
come in with an open mind and be prepared to be amazed. As a (very) occasional meat eater I tried the short ribs tonight and enjoyed every single bite. The sorbets were an amazing pallet cleanser too and can't be missed.
On top of an amazing menu, the staff sincerely care about the guests and want you to enjoy every sip/bite. After a few years the owner still takes an active role in addressing tables and supporting the staff.
We don't live close enough to make this a weekly stop but definitely make it a point to check it out a few times a year!!
Try it next time you are in the area, you will not be disappointed!
