Dr Susannah Becker may well be a technically competent endocrinologist, but I must be on the wrong end of her lack of empathic communication skill set. Despite leaving urgent messages by phone and through the Christ Hospital MyChart messaging system, and teetering on the brink of a thyroid/pituitary disease diagnosis, what does she do? Nothing, incommunicado, leaving me to piece together for myself bits of info on the Internet. I will be happy to retract this review if there was a good reason for not being in touch at a desperate time in my life, but doctors are supposed to be professionals, right? They don't need good reasons to do their job. Seeking referral to another endocrinologist, Auf Wiedersehen Doktor Becker!

I went to Dr. Maeder because I was having some metabolism problems and pain in my hands and feet. My family doctor refferred me to him. All he did was check my vitals, didn't run a single test. Told me I must be starving myself and thats why I am losing so much weight. Also told me he had no recommendation or suggestions for the pain I was experiencing, he told me I'd just have to live with it. I have been dealing with this for 4 years now and this is the first specialist I have seen. What a jerk! I would NEVER recommend him or the office in general. I had scheduled an appointment and they didnt put it into the computer so someone else got MY APPOINTMENT! So I had to wait another month to get blown off by Dr. Michael Maeder. This office and christ hospital affiliates in general are a joke!

I saw Dr. Maeder after being referred since I had a thyroid biopsy
that was inconclusive (possibly malignant). He was thorough in that he went out and had his staff call and get other reports on me from other doctors/hospitals in order to make a determination. He didn't go into great detail but was thorough enough to make a recommendation. I also noticed that he was rated high in the Cincinnati Magazine where they polled other doctors on who they'd send their family to for endocrine issues.
