I made a hotel reservation on Jan. 18 for an upcoming trip. Price dropped, so I rebooked the reservation at the lower price. System would not allow me to cancel the original reservation when I called and now the hotel is telling me that Orbitz cancelled both reservations. My credit card was charged and refunded for the cancelled reservation. My credit card was charged and paid for when the statement was received. Orbitz is blaming the error on the hotel. The hotel is blaming it on Orbitz. They need customer service reps in the US!!! The reps I have spoken to were very nice, but spending countless hours on this is useless. Totally pissed off because now I don't know if I have a hotel room for my trip and that particular hotel is completely booked!!

Worst travel experience ever. Thought I would get a good deal and that it would be easier booking via Orbitz, but it was the complete opposite. It wasn't until I started telling people my horror story that apparently they're reputable for messing up - BIG TIME!! My return flight(reservation) was lost and no one could give me a straight answer on what exactly happened. I was not notified for 3 weeks after booking that this had happened and by then $$ for flights went way up (almost $100 per person) and Orbitz refused to take the blame for it and made me pay the difference!!! I spent over 3 hours on the phone, crying, completed stressed out, almost made me want to cancel the trip all together. And then the flight going out kept getting pushed back further and further up until right before our trip it was pushed back a total of 13 hours from original booking; we basically lost a whole day of our vacation. I learned the hard way; will never book via Orbitz ever ever again (or any other company like them) Will always book directly with the Airline I want. In the end it'll be the same price, if not cheaper, without the headache and wasted time.

Avoid Orbitz like the plague. Their website is super buggy. It will DOUBLE-CHARGE YOU and it will charge you for things you did not buy!
They double-charged me on an international flight that I did not book. I looked at the flight on the orbitz website but never made the purchase. Still, they charged me twice for it.
I called customer service naturally and they said that their records didn't show these charges. Well, my bank account sure does.
I am still in midst of submitting dispute claims with my bank and BBB and with whatever other means I can find.
Never again with Orbitz.

Never never go with orbitz. Made an emergency reservation less than 24 hours of pick up. Had to cancel 2 separate times their employees were adamant that my card would not be charged at all. Woke up and found a nice charge on my card. They literally had me calling the car company and them hack and fourth and would not take blame. Requested a supervisor who laughed at me over the phone when I asked for his name. Said he'd call back in 24-48 hours to see about a refund. What a joke this company is. Take your money and run.
