I thought I hated Italian food. All I've ever gone to is Olive Garden, which completely sucks ass. But this place greatly exceeded my expectations. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the price wasn't too terrible. The only reason it's not fix be stars is that veal was a little grainy. But everything else was perfect. I'll come here again in a heartbeat. But make a reservation first or you're stuck outside.

Volare is the quintessential Chicago Italian restaurant. Intimate yet bustling dining room. Welcoming staff and the owner, Benny, is often there too take your to your table. The menu via filled with classics as well as seasonal offerings. All prepared perfectly and of course huge portions. Great for a date or dinner with friends.

I was tasked with finding a place for my co-workers and I to eat while in town for a convention and the thought was for Italian. There were several options nearby, but the glowing reviews for Volare drew me to it. We just left a short while ago and I have to say that this was the best meal/experience I have ever had at any Italian restaurant.

Everything was perfect. The food was outstanding, the service was amazing and the atmosphere was terrific! I will definitely be back and will also let all my friends back home in Nashville know that if they ever come to Chicago, they HAVE to eat here. Bravo Volare!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! This was the BEST FOOD, SERVICE AND AMBIANCE, I've HAD IN A LONG TIME! Benny (owner) was so down to earth and personal. Not being "the one" to adventure to far with my food or submissive to suggestions, our food concierge,Alessio was "Dead on" with his suggestions. The meal and the price was perfect in essence but, priceless for what we received. We experienced an unexpected, non-menu item... A new "Friend" ..(hand shakes are for business associates) Sealed with a HUG.. Thank you Benny!

Went here on a Friday evening. Super busy and super packed, which is great as it usually means the food is great. It was excellent. Having lived in norther Italy and now living in El Paso, TX, I have missed great Italian food. The service was great, the staff were busy, but took care of you. Not a huge amount of space at the bar while you wait, but come on time and they'll take care of you. Could do with a better selection of craft beer, but it's an Italian restaurant, so it shouldn't be an issue to be honest.
