I'm from Grand Rapids but have a lot of family in Chicago. Taste Bud was highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint! I got the jerk Philly cheese steak and it was perfection! Next time I'm in town I am heading back to try the jerk chicken Philly. The sauce on the fries is amazing as well. Highly recommend, great customer service, reasonably priced and love that you can see them make your food fresh.

I hate to do this but I feel as if it's HARD to support our own. And I do support often when I do support I travel from the south side. Last night I was turned around, the cook said they were closed, as he prepared to begin cooking a chicken philly. It was a packed house, the door was still unlocked and the sign read OPEN. The people who walked in right in front of me got served. I wanted to press the issue but I wasn't in the mood to be ignorant. BUT I guess that's to be expected right? that's what I get. I just wish blacks establishments took BUSINESS serious...I WILL NO LONGER SUPPORT NOR ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO DO SO..SMH

If you're going for some hearty fast food taste buds will be the taste you're looking for. Its not so healthy so, I would lay off of it on a everyday basis. The place is not in the best location, but convenient for locals. They also have ubereats delivery so its a bonus.
