Very nice restaurant. Full and diverse menu featuring local food products. Service was excellent from the front desk hostess to the waiter whom also took our payment. The food was outstanding and the portions were generous. We ate outside on the patio, fun view of major intersection with lots of pedestrian foot traffic.

Public House is hands down my favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. Almost everything they serve is delicious and nutritious. Most of their ingredients are purchased from local farmers, which is a big factor as to why I love this place.
The design and aesthetics is southern style/modern. Very beautiful. The food price point is perfect for the quality and amount of food you get.
One of my favorite dishes is the veggie platter and the house salad.
Every time we have a friend or family from out of town, we bring them here and they end up loving it.
1000% recommend!

Nice place. Casual/formal. Service was decent, Cocktails were fantastic and our dinner was very good. Dessert seemed to lack any real depth of flavor but overall we were not disappointed. I’d definitely return just for another Old Fashioned.

We were visiting Dayton while escaping the hurricane in Florida and visited this location once. Dress was casual / formal. We heard from some locals we met at the local whiskey bar that this location had excellent food which was similar to many of the restaurants I visited daily / weekly in New York City. I was excited to try the food but was not happy when we arrived to see if they had open tables. First, I know we didn't have a reservation but there were more than 7 open tables and we only had a party of two. We were quoted a wait of almost two hours. However, there were spots at the bar but the moment we arrived two other individuals from the bar said they were waiting for 45 minutes and demanded a table and got one. I was really looking forward to trying the food at the public house but I am not sure why so many tables were open and they couldn't seat us for almost two hours. We went to the Terminal Brewhouse instead and we weren't disappointed! When I visit Dayton / Chattanooga again I may try to visit again however, there are also many other restaurants with great reviews in the area which I may try first.
In future, I would recommend a reservation since it may help with getting a table.

One of the best casual dining experiences i have ever had. Nice decor felt warm and welcoming and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I oped for the daily special of meatloaf and paired it with the roasted beets and goat cheese, fries and cornbread muffins. The mix of beef and pork was excellent with just the faintest spice and a nice coating of tomato sauce. The shoestring fries were cooked perfectly and served with ketchup. The beets and cheese, which sounded like an odd pairing, was actually interesting each coaxing out a wonderful depth of flavor from each other. The cornbread was also nice, sweet and fluffy and not too big. My wife had the salad and soup both of which were excellent and the portions were generous for lunch. For dessert I had the peanut butter pie upon the waiter's recommendation and he was right: it is excellent. Sweet and filling and perfect with an espresso. She had the vanilla bean creme brulee which was even better than the pie, likely the best I have ever had. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you are in Chattanooga, you owe it to yourself to go.
