First time in Charleston and this was a great intro! Food was amazing (rock shrimp)! Staff was very friendly. The owner even came out to make sure everything was going well. I will definitely be back!

From the moment we approached the door to long after walking away we had big smiles. The very positive staff greeted us OUTSIDE the entrance and asked if we wanted hush puppies or a table. After being seated and greeted by the very pleasant hostess, the owner came over and greeted us again and went over the menu items again. Great menu, great service, and great price. A very nice experience.

We had such a great time with friends here! Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, and the owners are on site making sure everything is running smoothly. We loved it! Absolutely loved the food. Huge portions, even had a lot left over for a whole meal the next day! Highly recommend.....only down side was parking, but we found parking in a parking deck about 4 blocks away and was able to walk down and have the whole charleston experience.

The food here is very good as well as the service. (The coleslaw here is amazing. It has a unique taste because it has sweet pickles in it.) Drink prices were good. The moonshine margaritas are MUST have! Will definitely eat here when I come to Charleston in the future.

Incredible!
Service is responsive without being intrusive. The owner came to our table not only to check on us but also to show appreciation for our patronage.
The food is amazing! The hush puppies are the best I've ever had anywhere! My wife had a crab and shrimp dip (I'm allergic to shrimp and didn't have any). She couldn't stop talking about it. I had salmon croquettes which were delicious! I had the whole fried flounder and the chef who brought it out assured me it had been cooked separately from anything else that had touched shrimp.
Absolutely no way to justify any criticism of this place. Hyman's is a must when visiting Charleston.
