Love this place!! Took pictures with the staff.. Lots of pictures of Mr Simmons, he will be remembered for his iron and welding works..

His shop still has the anvil, forge, a couple of hammers, and some scroll forms on the wall. It looks pretty empty and there are no examples of the work that made him famous. If you want to see his work, get the book "Charleston Blacksmith" and there is a map with the locations of his gates, grills and fences. Then you will really see what a master blacksmith he was.
"Ornamental Ironwork of Charleston" also had his work, as well as.
