Perhaps the finest example of Federal on display in the country. An Elegant free flying spiral staircase is cantilevered three floors. Beautiful gardens and the tour starts in the old kitchen house.

So worth the time to visit. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was relaxed and friendly and informative. The house is lovely and well furnished.

My favorite of all Charleston homes this is definitely the most beautiful inside and out. It has been fully restored and look as though the Russel family could walk in at any time! From the breathtaking winding staircase to the beautiful drawing room with views of Meeting street if you plan on going to a historic home while I'm Charleston this should be the one!

Tour guides take you through. Whole house is air conditioned. You can purchase combo ticket for a little extra for Aiken-Rhett house. I recommend going to Aiken-Rhett first in the cool morning hours and finishing with Nathaniel Russell house when it gets warmer.

This is one of the most beautiful historical homes I have ever been in. The home was restored to how it would look for a wealthy family in the early 1800's. The tour guide, Joy, was wonderful. I would recommend this place to all.
