Janice and Gumbo helped us see Charleston in a whole new light! So much fun and it was interesting to learn more about the history. We would definitely recommend Old South to everyone we know. We saw the employees not only caring for the customer's well being, but also making sure that the horses were taken care of and that people were respectful of the horses. A carriage ride with Old South is a MUST when you visit Charleston!! Thank you!

I was a skeptic of the tours but this one changed my mind. From beginning to end it was a great experience. Our driver, Elliot and our horse, Gumbo were amazing. Elliot knew so many details and could answer most any question and did it with passion. The tour is totally worth the money.
Skip the other tours. You will be happy you took this

We absolutely loved our carriage tour with Carol! She was very informative and kept us entertained the whole time. She really had a way with our guide horse Amos, and it was evident that she genuinely cares for him. I also watched the horses being prepped for carriage rides before our tour and you can tell each employee cares for the animals and they are well taken care of.

My kids loved the tour so much. We had such a great tour guide too. He was so nice and even told us about some restaurants that the locals go to. He was a good sport too and posed for pictures with my family. The horses seemed really well maintained. I liked that they had a stall they can rest in between tours.

Great service and nice staff. I had to reschedule the tour twice and they were accomodating and nice. Our toddler enjoyed touring the barn and we had a good time on the historic tour. Our tour guide was well informed and funny. He was very well versed with the Charleston history. The carriage ride was quite comfortable too.
