The food is actually very good. Why 2 stars?! Had I been told up front that we would wait 30 minutes for the food because the cooks were on break I would not have stayed. Not cool.

We stayed @ the Carlsbad RV resort. One of the employees recommended this place. Decent food, good size portions & priced Ok. No alcohol. Service is awful! Took forever to get our food. The servers were cleaning the bottom of the chair feet as people were eating. Then they would go get their food. Pretty gross.

Love it when our trips through Carlsbad coincide with meal times so that we can stop at Danny's Place. Delicious BBQ and generous salad. Yum!

Food is delicious and reasonably priced for the portion size. Being from the southeastern region of the United States, I like to think I have good taste in BBQ. Danny's did not disappoint. Pulled pork was nice and tender, fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Servers are polite and prompt, and the home town charm of the place makes you feel right at home. The sweet tea is ALMOST as good as momma makes and I will definitely be going back again and again.
