this is legit the SLOWEST place I've ever been too. I was in waiting room for 45mins when there was only me and one other girl sitting there. front desk was super loud about everything I could hear them talking about my insurance things from the other side of the room. Was in back for over an hour for doctor to see me for 5 minutes! And to top it off she never came back in to explain anything to me nurse handed me a paper and told me I was free to go. Thanks for nothing. Appointment was at 315 (got there at 3) didn't get seen till 410 and finally left around 520. Never again 👎🏼

Great staff! BUT the service is slow. Last time I was in there for 2 hours and only saw the doctor for 30 minutes. This time I walked out after being seen by the doctor then had to wait 30 minutes again for a 5 minute conversation. Sad because the doctors are great, but just slow.

to rate this planned parenthood so low is such a huge bummer to me because i love planned parenthood as an organization so much. i went to the poughkeepsie center (in the hudson valley area of NY) with no issue at all and was hoping i'd have the same experience here. unfortunately, this was not the case.
to start with, the wait was incredibly long. i think i was waiting about an hour? someone actually approached the front desk a couple of times (they had been there before me). she said that her appointment time had long passed, she had to be somewhere by a certain time, and could she possibly see someone before that time? the woman at the front desk couldn't promise anything. after waiting a bit more, the woman finally left without being seen.
my first issue, admittedly the smallest one of the visit, is that the center doesn't allow a person with you in your exam room. i've never had this issue anywhere else but in the WNY planned parenthood system (not including exam rooms, like x-rays or MRIs). i have pretty bad medical anxiety and i don't really represent myself well because of this anxiety. due to this, i always bring someone with me to my medical appointments. it's never been an issue. but at the west seneca (and niagara falls) location, it was an issue. i didn't press it or ask the reason why. i just dropped it.
the nurse that did my intake seemed flabbergasted by all the medication i was on, which was really awesome to hear. thanks! it was like being at a drive-thru where the worker is impatient and wants to get to the next car. she was constantly asking, "is there another one?" yes, sorry. there's another one. not done quite yet.
after all was said and done, having spoken with the nurse and the nurse practitioner, it turned out that they felt i was too much of a "risk" for planned parenthood, whatever that means. they suggested that i seek a doctor, which is a bit odd. i was under the impression that the west seneca branch had doctors? but okay.
i'd say if you're in fairly normal health and you're just going to get a check up, you'd probably be fine here. but if your health is kind of out of the ordinary or something they might not see every day? please take your time and do your research. it'll be worth it. go elsewhere.

The staff there were so kind and reassuring. I find good "bed side" manner is hard to come by in normal doctor offices. Most doctors and nurses talk down to you. I went to the west seneca location and the staff there was absolutely amazing and didn't judge.
