Visited the Downtown location today and attempted to order Chicken and Dumplings (which was a special today). Was politely told by young woman working the register that they were all out at 11:59 a.m. Asked the employee to give me a chance to rethink my order as I was just informed they were out of Chicken and Dumplings. Another employee standing 3 feet in front of me, behind the counter states "Anyone who arrives at noon and requests Chicken and Dumplings is STUPID." I have always supported this local eatery but that statement was uncalled for. It is the lunch hour for a reason and one would expect more of a specialty item would be made for the lunch rush. I kindly told the first employee my companion and I would take our business elsewhere due to the rudeness of the other employee. Completely disgusted by that woman's response. I will no longer eat at this establishment.

A friend of mine likes to hang out there, but I only went in the other day to use the restroom. Prices a little higher than McDonald's and Whataburger but within reason.

Nice selection of sandwiches and other items on menu. Loved the chocolate shake! Nice location downtown, but parking is a real issue.

What a fun lunch place in a great historic building in the heart of downtown! Original wood floors, high wood ceilings, very bright and airy. Large selection of sandwiches, salads, soup, quiche, pies, cakes, cookies ordered at the long wood counter. Ice cream, shakes with favorite Blue Bell.
Friendly, happy place for a full meal or good for a quick afternoon treat.

Very quick service, always fresh breads and fruit. Really like the ambience and friendly customers who frequently dine here. Terrific Dutch apple pie, plus a variety of Blue Bell ice creams. Great place for lunch, alone or with friends and family.
