Years ago, when I first adopted Kaiser (a Pitbull / Viszla mix) I had taken him to this Petsmart for intrductory group training sessions. Kaiser had done so well in class that they rewarded us at his graduation with a free stay at their "Pet Hotel".
At the time, I was in a living situation where I didn't actually need pet boarding services, but in an effort to get him more socialized I took advantage of the offer. Explaining to the handeler when I dropped him off that I was home and was only leaving him there to get play time with the other dogs at their day camp. She said she understood and took him in the back and I left feeling good thinking I was doing the right thing by my dog.
After a couple of hours, I called to check in and see how well Kaiser was doing and Petsmart told me he was in a crate. I asked him how long he had been in the crate and they explained "since I left" and that since he was a "bully breed" he shouldn't have even been permitted to stay at all.
I immediately went down to pick up my dog and speak to whomever was in charge. I asked why I wasn't told about their policy when I dropped off my dog in the first place and no one could give me an explanation. I reaquired Kaiser who looked scared and confused and left and haven't been back since.
I am confused as to why a company who descriminates against certain breeds would offer a reward knowing full well that it cannot be used and then when I tried to redeem it was not up front about their policies.

EXTREMELY difficult to work with to schedule an appointment for grooming. You practically have to have your life planned three months out. Yet they call you to reschedule when they over schedule and expect you to just to them.

Been taking our dog here for day camp, grooming, and Banfield vets for a couple of years. The folks at Day Camp know our pup by sight and he loves them all. I can always tell he has a great time there. Grooming is fast and easy, though sometimes they miss a few spots which I've had to clean up at home. The Wellness Plans are awesome when your dog is younger and needs spade/neuter and all their shots. Helps ease the initial hit to your wallet. And a downright smorgasbord of toys!

I haven't seen a slower check out line in my life .. they need to higher more people or make the check out efficient . I will avoid the store in future .

Short: Sometimes shorthanded but generally a great place. I take my puppy here for training and grooming.

So far so good, the trainer is really helpful outgoing. He won't give you BS when it comes to making a "good" dog. Cheapest training you're going to find in Boston, and great class sizes (currently 2 dogs including mine). After 3 weeks my puppy has mastered sit, down, stay, and loose leash walking.

Grooming here is also great. Really fast service and a good job for the price. A bath and trim with some extras is $15 for my pup, extremely reasonable.

If you're buying, an excellent selection for a decent price, not the cheapest I've seen.

My pup has had accidents and they didn't make a big deal about it and cleaned it up quick. Extra kudos for good employees and a clean store.
