I booked a day tour from LA to San Diego online with what I thought was an English speaking American based company.
On the day of the tour (4th October 2017) as far as I could tell Take Tours is predominantly a Chinese company and the buses are not clearly marked. All in Chinese. I was waiting in China town with several other people, alot of us were confused as to which bus to take. They had my name on a list and I ended up on the correct bus however
Take tours did not explain over the phone or on their tickets or website etc that there were more than two bus transfers maybe required and that they are bilingual. I felt very awkward being the only non Asian though others and tour guide were very nice and tour good hence 3 stars. It's very disappointing when a company are not transparent online. I have had this experience on the East Coast before in 2012 with a different company who missed important information. I forgot their name and didn't review them. So much time on spent on buses (4 hours each ) plus feeling rushed at times at the four attractions. I would not recommend this tour company or this particular tour. I'm flexible but I prefer AAT Kings and Grayline tours who are up front about everything and cater to all nationalities with a mix of people.
If I see in fine print that other languages maybe spoken on a US tour in future I will translate that to mean the same as TakeTours and book elsewhere!

Do not sign up for a tour with Take Tours!!! My sister-in-law and I signed up for the 7 day Eastern-Canada/Maritime Tour. Price was good which should have been a clue to us and we saw everything that was on the Take Tour's list except for the ferry ride to Prince Edward Island. But, we were put on a tour group called TianBao which was all Chinese except for my sister & me. Apparently Take Tours just signs you up with any available group and doesn't tell you what nationality the rest of the bus will be. We were not notified that would be the case and given an option to change our plan. Optional admissions were not optional - we had to take all or none. Meal plan included 6 Chinese meals but you would be hard pressed to not take the meal plan because in many of the spots, there was no other choice nearby. Most of the hotels were nice - two were not. You spend a lot of time on the bus and when you can't communicate with those around you, it's not a vacation I expected! Sights were awesome but everything was so rushed because of the distance. I will only book with a legit company in the future and gladly pay the extra price!

Specifically with Ctours Bus Tours, the tour guides and company don't really care about customers, just money making scheme! The whole trip was stressful and inconvenient, company did not book hotel rooms prior to arrival, and tour guides changed every day without notice. Buses were late too!
I complained with TakeTours themselves about Ctours but Live Chat does not work for customer service! Someone comes in to chat with you and takes an hour to respond. Sending an email to customer support is useless. They say you get a response in 2-3 days but I still haven't received a response to my complaint with CTours 2 weeks after I raised it.

Do not book through this agency. They outsourced it to America Asia Travel Center Inc. Worst experience ever. Lots of hidden charges for services that were not delivered. We can't express our frustration in words with all the "mandatory" additional charges that they impose when you are already on the road. They should advertise the real price and not mislead their customers.Take Tours market low prices but with a lot of hidden fees. LAST TIME WE EVER USE TAKE TOURS!!!!!!

Maybe cheap, but you are sitting in the bus traveling most of the time. Get 20 mins to 30 mins at each attraction. The guide keeps yelling to keep up. Difficult if you have old parents. Bus was rickety. Stop at Asian buffets only for dinner. Totally avoidable. Save yourself some money, time and agony.
