This salon is top-notch. I've been getting my hair cut here for nearly 8 years and have never come away disappointed!

I wouldn’t recommend for haircut without checking stylists rates. Recently went in for bang trim. My bangs are long and swept, but left with pixie! You must provide explicit details. Nice environment for sure, but pricey.

This was my first trip here, and I really really excited. What a mistake.

Probably never will go back for a haircut. DEFINITELY WILL NOT GO BACK FOR WAXING SERVICES.

I got a haircut, eyebrow wax, and bikini wax. The haircut looks very nice... it's just not what I asked for. I was pretty specific: a long, dramatic-angled bob. Brought a picture and everything. My hair stylist seemed to listen well and told me a lot about the style that was helpful. I NEED to be able to pull my hair back into a ponytail (gym rat) so we discussed how short it can be in the back.

But when we were done... it was a pretty standard haircut. There's next to know angle front to back. It's not long in the front; the longest hair barely reaches my shoulders. So I'm not really sure what to do about my hair at the gym now (or when I go on a week-long hike in 95 degree weather later this week...). THe most bizarre thing? He finished the cut, blow-dried and styled my hair.... and at that point it was sorta what I wanted. But then he told me he had to cut one straggling piece... and chopped another half an inch to an inch off. I mean, just... what?!

Don't get me wrong; it looks fine. It'll be good for work. And hair grows back, thankfully. Maybe next time I get my hair cut it'll be closer to what I was trying for. Will not get it cut here though.

The waxing? Just... no. This bikini wax (not a Brazilian, nothing out of the ordinary) took twice as long as any other bikini wax I've ever gotten. Including Brazilians. My aesthetician went back over and over the same spot, to the point where I was bleeding, the skin was raw, and the temperature of the wax (which was in reality fine) was extremely painful.

To be clear: I'm not a wimp. I've broken bones without crying; I've had them reset without anesthetic. I find new ways to cause myself discomfort at the gym every day. But this was at least 75% more painful than any bikini wax I've ever had. I have never shed a tear at a bikini wax (I'm ticklish so I usually giggle through them). Proof I'm not exaggerating? I have bruises and burns... down there. That is NOT normal. And it is NOT acceptable. Trust that I'll be reaching out to the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Cosmetology and Barbering.

And feedback during the process did no good. She just got increasingly combative/annoyed, and when she was done stormed out of the room, leaving me to peel remnant wax off my skin.

The woman at the front desk was very kind. I didn't go to complain (at that point I didn't realized I'd literally been assaulted, otherwise this would have gone differently) but she could tell something was off so she pushed me till I told her. She was appalled, and very kind about it. She and the manager comped my waxing. I felt a little bit bad at the time, but not any more.

Best haircuts by Kiano in Cambridge and Bianca in Burlington location. Nice Aveda salon. Higher end but they have a range of stylists so you can find someone in your budget.
