They had a "5" on the menu next to the wines, so I thought it was $5. But when it was time to pay, the bartender told me it was actually $7 and the menu was a misprint. They refused to honor the price actually written on the menu. That's a breach of contract between customer and seller. I would have gladly paid $7, had it actually been written on the menu. But the menu was misleading and instead of apologizing and offering the written price (or at least a discount) they made me pay the extra cash, claiming their computer system wouldn't let them enter another price (which is bull, you just override it or enter another item of equal value). Horrible customer service. Not coming back again.

The bar isn't wonderful but it's a pretty solid venue for locally run, weekly or monthly events in a very tolerant way. The staff is surprisingly nice and since they moved the stage area from the back to the middle, the flow is tremendously improved making it feel like a friendly place. I've had many nice nights over many years, have always been treated with respect, and never had any issues. This place is a win for Allston.
