A friendly and warm welcome. Very simple menu but the flavors are phenomenal. The bartender is the best I've encountered thus far. From app to entree every bite left me wanting more. The fried pickles were so lightly battered and airy but crispy and mouth watering. Seriously couldn't stop eating them and the watermelon salad. There are no words to describe it... it's a must try. Thank me later! If you are looking for real authentic home grown BBQ... Magnolia Smokehouse is the spot.

Love the Texan vibe and amusing menu. Good space, well decorated and clean. I'm always seated pretty quickly. Food is tasty, has a good variety of your average burgers.

Great service and staff and I would assume the food is generally good, but my steak came burnt (medium well). Decent priced.
Went there a second time, and service was dreadful. Ordered my steak medium and still want great. Very disappointing overall experience.

I would offer 3.5 stars based on first and only visit. Good hearty portions and pretty tasty. The combo items I thought was good for sharing as mains between 2-3 people. The sausage was excellent.

Village Smokehouse is just okay.
Some of the appetizers are very tasty, like the fried buffalo shrimp.
But the mains are just lackluster to me. For the record, I am not a fan of ribs, so admittedly I am not trying likely the best item on the menu. With that said, the grilled BBQ shrimp dinner is fairly bland and pretty boring- but again, I recognize that this item was probably put on the menu for people like me who don't eat ribs.
The decor of the place is admittedly kind of fun. Very saloon-y, Texas-y.
