Our waiter Johnathan made the whole experience. It was the first time there, and he was so kind, very intelligent on the menu, and had great recommendations. I would go back just for his service, attitude and friendly/kind smile.
The food was AMAZING. I had the halibut for dinner, had a salad with my meal (The whole salad bar thing on the cart --- that is odd not gonna lie. I'd rather just have the choice of different salads but eh, what do you do.) Had the crab dip for an appetizer and that was incredible. Prefect blends in there.
Expensive, yes. Worth it to go back? Hell yes.
Also had some great bartenders, and drinks were good.

Went there with my wife never been there before. The waiter was awesome no complaints there, the food for being an upscale steak house was bad. My wife ordered the lamb and mashed potatoes and it came out cold and raw. She ordered it medium. I ordered the beef wellington with mushrooms and it came out cold and the mushrooms were rubbery. We complained to the waiter and he brought over the manager all she did was comp a 8$ drink. Didn't apologize or anything. I definitely will not be coming back. Lot better steak houses in Boise for the same price.

This restaurant has wonderful deco, with classic BIG band music playing lightly enough to block near by but not interfere with table discussions. They have good list of drink offrrings. The food was perfectly prepared and amazingly satisfying.

Was in last night for dinner. I was early for my reservation and decided to sit at the bar for a drink. No bartender. No acknowledgment that I was waiting for a drink. I went to the hostess and asked to just be seated. I sat at my table for 12 minutes before the waiter showed up. Nice guy, but 12 minutes for an "upscale" restaurant is too long. When my date showed up we ordered the crab cakes, which were delicious. Then our entrees. I had the bone out ribeye and she had the petite sirloin. We both ordered our steaks medium rare. They came to us medium well, borderline well done. Upon informing our waiter he offered to have new steaks cooked for us. We accepted. Then some lady showed up and said we would get a drink comped for our troubles. When the new steaks arrived hers was medium and mine was rare. Obviously the head chef was not in the kitchen and whomever was cooking these steaks really had no idea what he was doing. I won't be returning to the Brickyard. Not when I can get better service and better steak elsewhere for cheaper.

Best stop of our 8 day 2000 mile trip. Service was perfect from first glass of water to nice touch of bringing a bag of blueberry muffins for breakfast after paying check
Steaks were awesome and as you would hope and expect in Idaho all variations of potatoes from soup to baked, mashed , fries and peanut butter mashed were spectacular!
A+ stop if you are looking for a nice dinner.
