The ideal rating would have been 4.5. It's not perfect, but it's close enough. I've never left disappointed. The service is polished but casual, and the drinks are always exciting. The food is just about every time impressive, but there's the occasional miss. This isn't due to lack of talent. That's just what happens when you change your menu frequently. They can't all be winners. This is about as close as you can get in Boise to a swanky foodie (I hate that word, but it fits) haven. Dine/drink/stay here.

Great hotel in downtown Boise! We stayed in room 233, which is an exterior door right above the outdoor patio of the bar. If you're gonna party til midnight, then this room is yours. If you need a good night's sleep around 8 or 9pm, ask for a room far from the bar. The room was nice with a standing closet, flat screen tv, and comfy beds. The bathroom has a rain shower and also a hand-held nozzle. The bathroom door is opaque glass, so don't expect much privacy if you have a roommate. Channel 39 is the independent film network, if it's up and running. I'm going to stay there again next time I'm in Boise!

What a gem. We stay here every chance we get. I can't say enough good things about this place - great cocktails, good food, excellent rooms for an affordable price, pleasant people, etc etc. what a great job they've done. And they're even pet friendly if that pertains to you - which is hard to find in town. Hands down the best hotel in town.

I've never reviewed anything but was inspired to write my first. This hotel was absolutely outstanding. It felt more like a 5 star boutique hotel wrapped in throwback to the motels of my childhood, that were fun back in the day. The bar is maybe the best I have ever been to and the staff are just hard working and very courteous. Boise should be proud of this place. It was original, fun, comfortable and a value.
PS - it was quiet and I slept like a log.
