Rented a car last weekend via Travelocity. 14 dollars a day for a compact. Showed up and they gave me a Nissan Altima mid size. Took my credit card info and driver's license. Let me know they charge a deposit of $350 that gets taken off once the car is return. Asked if I wanted to pay for a full tank which I did (big mistake). Car was clean and washed when I picked it up. Drove from Boise to Twin Falls (127 miles one way) and back with very little driving in Twin. Car got great gas mileage and used less than a half a tank of gas for about 265 miles so I should have just filled it up myself when I got back. Turn in was easy and the charge of credit card was correct. So would I rent again from them? Yes, I would.

We supposedly rented a Jeep but upon arrival at Boise Airport we were assigned a Nissan Rogue. Vehicle was missing several floor mats. It got excellent gas mileage considering we were driving up/down mountain roads and carrying 4 adults. We had the windshield get struck by a rock thrown up by a gravel truck. When we returned the vehicle we were told we had to pay $150 for the windshield as the resulting chip "was larger than a quarter" by Eric Lewis at the turn in booth. I asked him if he had a quarter so we could insure the chip was larger than a quarter. None of us had a quarter and our plane was leaving so we had to put the claim on our credit card. We have been communicating with the AmEx company as we used that card to reserve and rent the vehicle. We would be reimbursed for the $150.00 if Thrifty would answer them and provide them with the requested documents. This has been going on for two months and Thrifty still has not responded. I would not recommend this rental service to anyone.

I've dealt with car rental companies before and I pick up rental weekly, but this is my first time dealing with Thrifty and let me tell you, also my last. The car we rented was never cleaned, trash was left all off the inside of the car. The representative was inflexible and hard to work with too.

Not even one star. Pretty much same as the other reviews. I don't have a credit card, I booked with my debit card. They sure don't have a problem charging that debit card to book though! I was told that I could rent the car only if I was flying out of boise. What? I live here and was heading out of town for my daughter's softball tournament. Also told I used a third party to book. No I did not. What is this? Do they just naturally tell people that? On top of that both people I spoke with were very rude. Extremely! Thrifty you are seriously running some shady business! I'm appalled. I also plan to make sure EVERYONE I KNOW KNOWS ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE. Unbelievable .

I placed my reservation online very easily and prepaid online in a few steps. I received an email stating the items I will need for my reservation, I did not have a credit card so I show up to see what my options are. The front desk lady tells me if I have a flight ticket I could use a debit card, but I wasn't flying so she basically told me there's nothing she could do and turned me away. I then asked about a refund since I prepaid and didn't get my car rented to me for them deposit of about $111 and some change. She told me I would have to call the third party I booked through, which I didn't use a third party, I used them. She seemed to no longer care about me as a customer and didn't want to help me anymore so I assume she lied to get rid of me and she quickly moved on to the next person. I called corporate and they told me if I didn't have a credit card then I would be considered a no show and a refund would not be issued. What?!?! Horrible business. They apparently have investigators to investigate whether you should receive a refund or not. I asked to speak to the investigator and he said there's no way because they're in a backroom. They ruined my trip, took my money, and stated I was a no show even though I showed up attempting to learn my options without a credit card. THEY'RE POLICIES ARE NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.
