Now that there are new owners, Greg and Kerry Smith, the food is fantastic. Their salads are fantastic and the sandwiches too.

I have been going to the Alpine for years and years now and I have seen the food and the service go up and down. The last few times I've been in there the service has been less than enthusiastic and slow and the food just mediocre. I used to love going on Friday's for their fish and chips, the place would be packed at lunch time so you had to get there early. If you go for lunch I hope you have longer than an hour because you will be running late more likely than not when you're done. It is sad to see such an icon deteriorate like this.

Terrible food one time. The last three times terrible staff and service. Last order was special of the day and was more like special of yesterday. Promptly got sick and so did my friend will never eat there again.
