I can't say anything negative about Veronica. We met through mutual friends and I flew her up to Detroit to do an interior design job, that also snowballed into construction management...she handled the additional requirements with grace and passion. She has a strong eye for colors, artwork, furniture and more. I can't recommend her space and her work ethic enough.

I think this store is a real East Austin treasure. Although they only recently opened at the current location, they have been in the neighborhood for several years, and are a valuable part of the community. They stock an interesting and unique selection of new and vintage clothing for both men and women, as well as cosmetics, jewelry, and a carefully curated selection of music. The staff are all friendly and attentive. In addition to being a business, Las Cruxes is also a space for great community events like a monthly chess night and a mix tape exchange club, as well as in-store performances by musicians representing a wide variety of styles, from Chicago house DJs to folksy Americana. I am happy to be able to support such a great local business.

Beyond being forward thinking tastemakers, the Ortuño sisters are dedicated community builders with an interest in social justice and seldom heard voices. They host events, performances, and exhibitions that highlight a diverse array of local artists and musicians. The products they sell are a mix of Texas-made furniture, objects, records, and clothing, plus a uniquely curated assortment of international high fashion. Las Cruxes is an important and progressive cultural asset that has served Austin since 2009.

The women who own and operate Las Cruxes curate an amazing selection of clothing, accessories, music, and art. They're fastidious in their customer care and bring visibility to boutique brands and local/touring artists and musicians. East Austin is LUCKY to have Las Cruxes.

I don't even have to shop here to know this store doesn't belong. Someone who takes away from the culture of this city by painting over a mural with white walls doesn't belong in a city that is meant to keep it weird. Shame on you.
