The most unprofessional hair salon I’ve ever had to deal with, and it wasn’t even my appointment. My girlfriend booked an appointment online a week and a half prior to the appointment date. She drove 30 minutes through downtown to get there and have the receptionist say, “Oh we don’t have an appointment for you tonight, must have been a glitch. You really should have checked for a confirmation email.” Without even trying to squeeze her in or offering her an appointment tomorrow for her troubles for driving 30 minutes all she says is sorry. I call the office and the receptionist says we can squeeze her in at 7:30 ant the 5th street location, I call my girlfriend and she turns around and heads to the 5th street store. I call the receptionist back within 3 minutes and says “Oh we can’t squeeze her in at 7:30 we just booked that appointment” No thanks she will not be coming back- I’d pay another salon a hundred dollar more than have her go through this again. Beware of online booking “glitches”

Service is great, very professional and clean, and super relaxing environment. I also love Angela who does a great job with my hair. They have great customer service when they don't even accept tip. They're also never pushy with products, and lastly who will complain about a complimentary hand/head massage, some wine, and touch up on your make up before you head out.

Moving to Austin 2 years ago, I had no idea how I was going to find a new hair stylist. A good friend recommended Jackson Ruiz and I haven't gone anywhere else. Sharon does an amazing job with my hair every time. She even nudged towards a new cut that I never would have thought about doing and I love it! Jackson Ruiz has great hours for those who want to have their hair done before work or after. The hair stylists here don't just cut, wash, and style, they give you a pampering experience. I also enjoy coming in!

I was greeted so genuinely by the hostesses, given a tour of the salon, as this was my first time here, and offered a beverage. Melinda McKenzie is a hair GODDESS. I recently had a baby and have had the new mom hair blues, but Melinda came to my rescue and saved my hair life!!! She is so talented and intently listened to my vision as I described a thousand different haircuts. She assured me from the start that we would achieve our goal and really included me in the process. It has been YEARS since I've trusted someone with my hair, especially to try a new funky cut that is low-maintenance. She was excited and so positive about the cut we imagined, it immediately put me at ease. I cannot thank her (and the staff) enough for my visit today. You guys rock!!!!
