Very nice street with coffee shops, bistros and gourmet restaurants and great shops. Different vibes than 6th and Rainey streets but in a good way!
Be sure to check out the Willie Nelson statue at 2nd and Lavaca.

Other than hard to find, pay for parking.the area is quite cool and trendy. Great for dining and coffee.

Good area to find trendy women's clothing and random/fun gifts (candles, hosting gifts, etc.)or small home decor items.

Nice safe outdoor shopping area. The you store is fantastic! There are a couple of nice men's clothing stores and several for women. It is within walking distance of the nearby hotels.

Must visit when in Austin!! Lots of restaurants and stores.
Make sure to stop by League of Rebels Menswear while you there - very classy, great atmosphere like none other. You can relax on their couch and have a drink while you shop.. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by their quality of their wool suits! Try on one of their shirts too - fits like glove!
