Food and service were on par with restaurants of the type (polished, fashionable, independent Euro-American bistro). However, we felt misled by the gratuity policy. It is mentioned on the menu, saying 20% is "included", but what they really mean is "20% will be added". "Included" and "added" set very different expectations, and I get the feeling from some of these reviews that others feel the same way. Some transparency here would be appreciated - either list prices that include that 20% or make it clear that you're going to add to prices listed.
It does say on the menu "please ask", but the moment a customer introduces the topic, it makes the meal a very transactional experience.
And that isn't to say that service wasn't worthy of a 20% tip; it was good. Though it would be nice to be offered a taste of a wine being recommended by the waiter; one recommendation missed the mark.

Wanted to get some quick food for kids before Thinkery. No way. An average price for the entrée will turn into 18 dollars per person for a tiny portion. The service is fine, so two stars for that. It feels like a rip off and they feel it too. Doesn't feel like a business proud of what they are doing. The food is healthy though.

Fantastic ambiance & service. Delicious, inspired entrees. Menu rotates so there are a bunch of new entrees and desserts to try out when you return

Food is inspired, unique, fresh and excellent. Exciting menu often changing and exploring. Lovely staff, say something silly to Adam, an owner with an excellent sense of humor, even if he's trying his best to be serious.

Excellent brunch - duck confit hash was outstanding. Everything is made in house, farm fresh. You can tell the chef and staff take pride in the food and atmosphere.
