So it’s really busy, even for a Wednesday night which you hope means it’s good. They have WED smoked pork on the billboard, and at the door “no pork” so that’s interesting. The resturant layout is indeed dated and they try to pack in as many tables as possible in their floor space that you literally have no personal bubble unless you have one of the tables by window or wall. People and kids are always walking between your table and you’ll have the occasional bump from them. To give you perspective, I literally listened to the couple next to me talk about church service, I listened to the family in front of me chastise their older son about getting a job, and I listened to the table behind me talk about not leaving a tip to the waitress because she only filled their drink 3 times. Anyways, the server was nice, had waaay to many tables to be handling so I noticed everyone either waving her down or grabbing her as she walked by to get drinks refilled. Okay, onto the food. All the reviews I read was how good the food was and how it was like grandmas cooking. Your grandma owned a deep fryer at the house?! Lucky! Majority of the meats are deep fried, which is fine but they lacked any kind of flavor. The ribs were basically boiled with some bbq sauce slapped on. The baked chicken was dry to the bone. The only redeeming part was the fried chicken. It was not bad, not great, but not bad. The fried steak was 90% breading and 10% meat and using the tongs to get them out, you would basically be ripping the flour coating off and the meat would just crumble in the pan. I think the majority of people who really patron this place are doing it for the all you can eat value, but the food is not really anything to scream about. Yes you can have a lot of it, but are you really enjoying it or are you just enjoying the fact you can have as much as you want? Think about it. Anyways, if you like it and enjoy eating here, that’s your business but I can assure you, you can get good food for the same price but it won’t be all you can eat.

If you're searching for some well prepared and authentic southern fare DO NOT miss this one. The buffet changes daily but some staples are always available such as their excellent home style fried chicken.... You'll hunt a long time to top or even equal their food. Enjoy

I've been here in Augusta since 1968 off and on, never been there. It was fast, clean, plenty of room, food was stocked up. Good place to eat. We had lunch.

My son showed his love for his momma again today. He treated me at the Harvest Table. We both enjoyed being together and having many choses of different foods that excites your taste buds.
