If it happens to be your birthday, they get you up, put a chicken hat on your head, a cone shaped paper cup held with your mouth, tuck your hands under arm pits, then proceed to do the chicken dance in front on God and everybody. It's quite amusing. The side vegetable are served in large bowls on your table and you serve yourself and pass it around. They refill the bowls when empty.
Staff is friendly and fun.

We had a great young lady taking care of us, Camry (not sure of the actual spelling of her name.). We were started with the salad, just iceberg lettuce with a nice sweetened vinegar dressing. The corn was cooked well and naturally flavored. The mashed potatoes were whipped and creamy and the cream gravy complimented the potatoes well. The biscuits were so fresh and perfect that butter couldn't improve them. The batch of green beans we were present for has some flavor that some must have burned but they were salvaged and served, and even though that was the case, there was so much other food to enjoy, i never mentioned it to our waitress. I ordered the smoked chicken and I only made it to the first piece of chicken. Been awhile since the first visit but I'm glad we made it back!

Babe's is Awesome!! Great food & great atmosphere. And Tim Sloan (the GM) is such a kind gentleman. We always talk & visit with him every time we go there. Babe's is very lucky to have him. We always enjoy going there to eat.

What a great feast! It's a family-style serving restaurant. The food is very good. Expect to eat A LOT. The smoked chicken is really really tasty. Fried catfish is good too. I didn't try the fried chicken. Overall great place.

Phenomenal, made from scratch food, served family style. Old country decor will blast you back to the past, seventy-five years ago. Charming pseudo old country store fronts line the perimeter interior. The tables remind me of Grandmother's kitchen. The helpings of food are over generous with seconds or thirds offered at no additional charge. The biscuits are hot, scrumptious, and served alongside dispensers filled with honey and molasses. Smoked chicken, Fried Chicken, Chicken Fried Steak, Chicken Tenders, or Fried Catfish, plus all these side dishes: iceberg salad, creamed corn, green beans, lumpy-mashed potatoes and real chicken gravy. Save room, if possible, for delectable desserts; Banana Pudding, Chocolate Meringue pie, Lemon Meringue pie, Cherry cobbler, or pineapple upside cake.
You won't leave hungry, for certain.
Can't take leftovers with you, except for the meat and biscuits. Don't ask and don't try.
